At the initiative of Bulgaria the EU Agriculture and Fisheries Council will discuss the request to amend the Temporary Framework for crisis and transitional state aid, BTA reported.
This was announced by the press center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. Bulgaria and Romania propose to abolish the individual limit for enterprises in primary agricultural production or to increase it.
The acting Minister of Agriculture and Food, Dr. Georgi Tahov, will take part in a meeting of the EU Council on Agriculture and Fisheries in Luxembourg. Ministers are expected to discuss the proposals of the Belgian Presidency Draft Council Conclusions on the future of agriculture in the EU.
It is necessary to introduce a new financial instrument to protect farmers in crises as part of the Strategic Plans, the Acting Minister of Agriculture and Food stated at a meeting of the Agriculture and Fisheries Council in Brussels at the end of May.
