Until July 19, the Audit Chamber is waiting for the reports of the parties for their election campaigns

Participants must submit their reports, separately for each of the two types of elections

Until July 19, 2024 (Friday) inclusive, political parties, coalitions of parties and the initiative committees participating in the two types of elections on June 9 - for people's representatives for the National Assembly and for members of the European Parliament from the Republic of Bulgaria, must present to the Audit Chamber the reports on the income, expenses and assumed payment obligations in connection with the election campaigns.

The deadline for submitting the reports is 30 working days after the election day according to the Election Code, the Audit Chamber announced.

Participants must submit their reports separately for each of the two types of elections.

The reports are submitted to the Audit Office at the address: Sofia, “Antim I“ 17, floor 6, room 604.

The report must be sent by the representative of the party, the coalition or the initiative committee in paper and electronic format, accompanied by a statement from the bank account. Declarations of the origin of the donated funds, as well as of the funds provided by a candidate or a member of an initiative committee, when they are more than one minimum wage, are attached to the report.

The report is drawn up and presented according to a model approved by the Audit Chamber.

In case of violation of the requirement to submit a report on income, expenses and assumed payment obligations in connection with the election campaign, the person representing the party or the initiative committee or the persons representing the coalition shall be fined from 2,000 to BGN 10,000

The Audit Office will publish the reports on its website within 15 days after the deadline for their submission has expired.

When the declared income and incurred expenses in connection with the election campaign are over BGN 1,000, the Audit Chamber performs a compliance audit within 6 months from the expiration of the deadline for submitting the reports.

We also remind you that, within 30 working days after the election day, media service providers, sociological and advertising agencies, as well as public relations agencies, must submit to the Audit Office on paper and electronic media information about the services provided of parties, coalitions and initiative committees – also separately for each of the two types of elections. The information is provided according to a template that is published on the website of the Audit Chamber in the section “Control-elections“ - “Reporting of the election campaign“ - “For Service Providers“.
