KNSB will make demands on the energy, industry and budgetary systems - 1

KNSB will make demands in three areas - energy, industry and budget systems, said the president of the Central Bank of Ukraine Plamen Dimitrov at the National Press Club of BTA in Stara Zagora, NOVA reported. According to him, urgent decisions are needed in these areas, as the topics are extremely important and cannot wait for the formation of a government.

According to Dimitrov, for years in the Stara Zagorje region, there has been indolence, promises that do not lead to results, and lies of absolutely all political parties, without exception. This has led to the loss of jobs, especially in some enterprises, the KNSB leader said.

„The meetings we had with the managements of TPP “Maritsa East 2”, “Brickel”, “Mini Maritsa East”, showed anxiety and impossibility to ensure normal functioning in view of the frequent change of authorities. The situation is critical, without exaggerating. Yes, salaries were taken for two months, BEH has the attitude to provide funds for salaries for the remaining few months, Dimitrov added. He commented that the 250 million, for which a decision was made by the previous National Assembly to be allocated this year to the mines for land reclamation, is not provided.

The deadline is until July 15, in which to answer the 24 clarifying questions sent by the EC, with which Bulgaria can justify the granting of the funds. The argument for them is that the state suppressed the price of coal for a decade and thus prevented the mines from forming a fund with which to finance reclamation activities. The 250 million BGN per year planned for a period of 4 years will compensate for this, added Dimitrov. The notification requested by the EC should be for the funds for the four years, so that the same thing is not done every year and they can be included in the expenditure part of the budget, the KNSB leader pointed out.

The most urgent thing we want is to see these BGN 250 million guaranteed in the state budget as soon as possible. We all know they're gone. The functioning of the mines must be guaranteed, jobs must not be threatened, Dimitrov said. According to him, this means that the funding is targeted. The leader of the CNSB stated that the main issue is related to the review of the Green Deal. “It will probably happen with individual member states lobbying for different things. Some insist that aviation transport be excluded from the scope of the deal, others lobby for the agricultural sector, and the notion in Bulgaria that “decalibration” will also cover energy, it is not correct.

How satisfied are Bulgarians with their salaries

„According to the president of KNSB, this debate should rather be conducted with the experts, put on the table as a national goal. Everything else is political lies. Billions of euros have been invested in the Green Deal by large corporations and companies, which they will definitely want to get back. So I don't think the Green Deal will be cancelled. However, it can be changed. And there should be specified the requests that can specifically extend the operation of the coal plants”, he commented.
