"Healing processes are underway within the party. There is a policy of reconciliation in the BSP, of consolidation in the left political space, this is what he stated in the program "More from the day" acting chairman of the BSP Atanas Zafirov.
According to him, there is fear in certain circles that the Bulgarian left can confidently and strongly return to active politics.
"It creates tension and worry. The processes flow in two directions - internal and external consolidation of the left", added Atanas Zafirov.
According to him, some of the leaders in the left political space have shown ego by refusing to dialogue with each other.
"There is an expectation in society for a new face and for a new generation of politicians. At the Buzludzha Council, we will show unity and consolidation. The left is fashionable again. We are trying to make not a mechanical sum of abbreviations, faces or numbers, but a synergy, a clear message to the left that there is an understanding of the processes, an expectation that this time the left will give a strong request for governance, not just for participation in political life. The BSP and our partners can no longer accept the role of a fifth political force," Atanas Zafirov also said.
In his words, the reason for this is - the process of opening fronts, exclusion, neglect, not hearing good ideas and messages has led to BSP being isolated. "Calmation is necessary in the party," Zafirov also said.
When asked if he will run for president, he answered: Let's see who the candidates will be, this issue is not on the agenda, the parliamentary elections are knocking on the door.
"According to the party statute, Cornelia Ninova does not have the right to run for chairman,", Zafirov also emphasized.
