Georgi Lozanov: Peevski generates more power than his public place suggests - 1

"Ahmed Dogan called Peevski a "phenomenon". What is Peevski's phenomenality – in that it manages to generate more power than its public place suggests. However, this power does not come from heaven. To take power, beyond your own means, someone has to give it to you. Two leaders cede that power – Dogan and Borisov“.

This is what Associate Professor Georgi Lozanov said to bTV regarding the trials in the DPS, quoted by FOCUS.

This week, the honorary leader of the movement, Ahmed Dogan, demanded the resignation of co-chairman Delyan Peevski, but he refused to submit it. This is the culmination, for now, of the conflict between the two, which began with the divergent voting of the parliamentary group during the discussion of the GERB cabinet. As a result, the MPs who did not support the cabinet, at the behest of Dogan, were excluded from the parliamentary group headed by Peevski.

"At some point, however, he (Peevski – ed.) began to acquire much more power, taking from these two people. Enter this risky game – to try to take more and more power from them. And in the end, both put a brake on power in the party and in the state. Dogan said these words about Peevski, which civil society spokesmen have been saying since the protests. He has no right to these words, because he himself participated in the creation of this phenomenon”, added Lozanov.

In his address on July 10, Dogan wrote: ""Never since its creation more than 34 years ago has the movement used mutineer approaches to threaten our families, to take away people's business with the prosecutor's office and police services."

Political scientist Prof. Rumyana Kolarova objected that if anyone has given power and legitimacy to Delyan Peevski, it is "We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria“ with his actions in the 49th National Assembly.

On the occasion of the realization of the second mandate for the government, the political scientist Slavi Vasilev announced that it would be exceptional news if he was successful.

"I find it particularly curious if a coalition happens between "We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria“ and "Revival”. Thus, "We continue the change” and "Democratic Bulgaria” they will make a grand slam, forming a coalition with every single party in the National Assembly,”, he added.
