Atanasov: Mr. President today went to his native region to take pictures - this is really populism - 1

"Political instability is the most serious problem for Bulgaria at the moment and unfortunately it will not be able to be resolved in this parliament. Obviously, we are going to the next election". This was stated in "The day begins with Georgi Ljubenov" PP-DB deputy Atanas Atanasov.

According to him, the more politicians go to the places affected by the fires, the more the topic becomes politicized.

"There are systemic flaws in the work of the Bulgarian institutions, and first of all - the Ministry of the Interior. The point here is not for us to fixate on the Home Secretary who, in addition to all his other failings, has shown himself to be incompetent. There should be coordinated actions of the institutions, but the most important thing is that they be timely.

He asked how the prime minister, minister and president helped the people by going there.

Atanasov believes that the moment for an adequate reaction has been missed, because the protection should be for both people's lives and property.

"Security sector reform is extremely important. And in this particular case, we also have a problem, because who are these institutions that must detect the presence of risks to national security, so that they do not become a threat, including DANS, because it has its cover there. Where are the operatives of DANS to foresee these risks?"

According to him, President Radev should have convened the CSNS and analyzed the defects and gaps in the actions of the institutions.

"Mr. President went to his hometown today to take pictures - this is really populism.

Atanas Atanasov commented that other parties are trying to split the PP-DB and compared it to the split of the Reform Bloc.

"Democratic Bulgaria is courting" what reasonable and well-intentioned people they are and what "We continue the change" were. You won't be fooled, ladies and gentlemen, the coalition is united".

The technical cabinet with the second mandate, proposed by DB, was an opportunity to break the ice between the political forces in the parliament, Atanasov believes, and did not express hopes that the next parliament will be much more mobilized.

"Here serious leadership is now required from the people who represent the political forces. Now we have surrounded ourselves with some wire fences, we look at each other and don't even talk to each other. And the people expect us to overcome these contradictions and to create a majority to form a government".
