Over 7,000 people collapsed during the heat wave in our country, according to the data of the national system for emergency calls with a single European number 112, "Telegraph" reported.
The report covers the period from June 24 to July 14, when a warm wave of unprecedented duration was established over Bulgaria. During this time, exactly 7068 signals were submitted with the keywords “collapse“, “falls“ and “loss of consciousness“ to the emergency number 112. For comparison, these signals for the same period last year were 728.
A dramatic increase in fire calls also shows the hotline reference. They have jumped by as much as 106%.
Stara Zagora has the most reports of fires. In just about 20 days – from June 24 to July 14, 4069 fires were registered in our country against 1973 for the same period last year.
During the summer period, snakes, wasps, bees and dead dolphins are mainly reported. In the period from the beginning of May to June 15 of this year there were 1,676 reports of incidents and events with animals, of which 150 were related to snakes.
