The left is the only one that unites against the background of the collapsing major parties, against the background of the quarrels on the right, the split DPS, the new parties that have not yet entered and have already ended themselves. The left is the only one that is talking about unity, it is coming together and I hope it will appear together in the next elections. This was stated by the leader of "Stand up. BG" Maya Manolova in the studio of the show "The Day ON AIR".
According to her, this is a huge chance both for the left and for society and the entire political system.
"With its fragmentation, the left brought to power pseudo-right and liberal formations, which with their experiments brought the state to a catastrophe. We are facing the biggest political crisis - six elections in the last three years, a highly fragmented parliament, disintegrating parties and zero trust of the people in the party elite", Manolova told Bulgaria ON AIR.
According to her, it is not normal in the poorest country that the largest left-wing party is fifth in the parliament, and the other left-wing parties do not even enter it.
"One of the reasons for this is that the slogans of unification on the left remained slogans, imitations. The disaster of the BSP is also due to the policy of its leadership, which hindered the left unification in every way, believes the leader of "Stand Up. BG"
She emphasized that a person cannot talk about how he will never work with Borisov and Peevski, but in the end "enter the parliament and embrace the two".
"Ninova authoritarianly directed the situation in the largest party and in the entire left in general," commented the guest.
According to Manolova, it is time to unify the left.
"The left starts clean, starts again, starts strong and will set an example to both the right and the center and the entire political system how politics should be done, how unification can be done and how the left force can become the host", said the interlocutor.
