Nadezhda Neinsky: Russia wants to return to its old idea of empire during the war in Ukraine **** The way out in our cou - 1

The former ambassador of Bulgaria in Ukraine was withdrawn after the start of the war to become deputy minister in the government of Galab Donev. To withdraw an ambassador when war breaks out in Europe is short-sighted to say the least, and not to send an ambassador for two years is a heavy political assessment.

This is what the diplomat Nadezhda Neynski told bTV.

„The way out is to hold elections and quickly cast a Euro-Atlantic majority to support a government with a clear mandate and a clear program of reforms. Reforms are made only by a majority. To be successful, your policy must meet people's expectations,”, she is emphatic.

„For some, the inclusion of Kamala Harris in the fight for the presidency in the United States is a minus, but it can also be interpreted as a plus. Facing a woman against a politician and a person like Donald Trump is a big challenge. The prejudice is not so much racial as it is about being a woman. If she succeeds in overcoming them and if America elects a woman for president, it will show that society is looking for creation, Neinsky also said.

In her words, Russia wants to return to its old idea of empire through the war in Ukraine. Without Ukraine, Russia cannot regain its imperial past. It will remain an Asian empire that will compete with China.

„It is important that the weapons be given to Ukraine on time. A lot of valuable time was wasted – a determination on the part of the USA would bring us closer to peace.”

According to her, the office will not appoint a European Commissioner. “We must move towards a much deeper dialogue on the policies that Bulgarian society expects.”
