If this does not happen, there could be great discontent leading to daily protests. The budget procedure is still ongoing, it has not been definitively confirmed that the necessary approximately BGN 600 million should be provided for in Budget 2025. Additional funds will also be requested for capital expenditures, equipment and new equipment, he explained.
According to him, 6,400 pensioners work in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and a mechanism for gradual release should be created. "Wage growth will not be serious, especially after the slowdown in recent years. We want them to commit to a socially measurable criterion. In the parliament, it was accepted that this should be the average budget salary for the second quarter of the previous year. On average, the increase will be between BGN 600 and 700 per person. At the lowest executive position, a new employee should start at BGN 2,640. Mass police officers will start at 2,200 BGN. Persons working on an employment contract with a higher education will receive BGN 1,760, and those with an average - BGN 1,320," said Dobrev.
