The condition of the 9-year-old child remains serious but stable , which was transported to the “Pirogov” hospital. This was stated for NOVA by the national neurosurgery consultant Prof. Nikolay Gabrovski. The boy suffered a serious accident on the beach in Sozopol at the end of last week. Initially, he was admitted to a hospital in Burgas. A few hours later, however, the doctors, including Prof. Gabrovski, decided that the boy could be transferred to Sofia. The military transport plane "Spartan" took part in the action.
„In the next maybe 3-4-5 days we expect some knotty things to happen. Or respectively – not to happen so that we know how the treatment will go. He will be in intensive care for some time, and it is not yet known whether he will need operations or not. He has a serious problem as he has a chest injury. All efforts were mobilized. You know that transport was provided with the government "Spartan", which was the only possible and fastest solution in this particular case, said the head of the Neurosurgery Clinic in "Pirogov".
