Damyan Voynovski is the new executive director of the Executive Agency “Automotive Administration”, announced on the air of bTV the official Minister of Transport and Communications Georgi Gvozdeikov. He replaces Borislav Muerov, who was released at the beginning of this week.

“The person in this position must have a vision and show results. The problem is not only in the technical examinations, but it is the result of an accumulation of errors that led to this decision of mine,”, argues Minister Gvozdeikov for the change.

He assured that the new executive director is a professional, has worked in the field for many years and knows the matter well. “I think he is a person who will deal well with the problems and develop the agency”, emphasized the Minister of Transport.

When asked why he was given the post after there was resistance from branch representatives to his appointment, the minister replied: “What resistance, to which branch? Not true. I have received support from international carriers. It is very easy to make accusations that are unproven. I bet on the professionalism of this person“.

In connection with the problems during the technical inspections, where some older gasoline cars are threatened with suspension from traffic, the minister recalled that the topic is currently being discussed by a working group. There will be a tolerance of 30 days for people to fix the problem, it became known from the words of the minister.

“This problem is reached because of our attitude towards the car, when it should be serviced on time, according to the manufacturer's recommendations,”, he also said.

With the “accumulation of various administrative problems” Georgi Gvozdeikov also argued for the change of the head of the State Aviation Operator (Air Squadron 28) Gen. Zlatko Zlatev, and replacing him in the post with Gen. Todor Kodzheykov.
