We were against the amendments to the Constitution, this consultation has no sense, the president makes decisions alone. The domestic policy set by GERB and DPS is because of the people gravitating around the two parties. Our view is that the president should have more choice, but he doesn't, so we'll suffer the consequences. This was stated at the consultations with President Toshko Yordanov from ITN.
"I don't know why we call this consultation at all and why it is included in the amendments to the Constitution, there is no effect from this meeting. Stupid, harmful amendments to the Constitution are to blame for this. The President must regain his powers over the Cabinet. With the new prime minister, a feeling of more transparency in the elections should be created", he added.
Yordanov also commented on the consultations for the third mandate, which was given to ITN. "We met support from half the deputies, but one party has dependence in a political coalition, and one half of this coalition thinks emotionally and self-limited in its own existence. "You, Mr. President, brought the irresponsible spouse to power," added Yordanov
The head of state initiated the constitutional procedure after all three exploratory mandates were returned unfulfilled. So Radev started talking about which of the possible candidates will become the new caretaker minister. The current Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev has stated that if the post is offered to him again, he will accept.
The Speaker of the 50th National Assembly Raya Nazaryan has already refused the post on the grounds that the Prime Minister should not be a bright political figure.
