Modernization of the Bulgarian Army is legislatively ensured until the end of the year and beyond.
This is what the Acting Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov told journalists in the National Assembly, after the parliament ratified an international contract for the acquisition of ammunition for the “Stryker” and adopted a decision on investment expenditure on a project for the acquisition of anti-aircraft missile complexes.
Aircraft will go unimpeded, infantry fighting vehicles and ships too, and the new – the anti-missile defense system, we are starting negotiations with the government of the Federal Republic of Germany, said Zapryanov, quoted by BTA.
There is a lot of work to be done, especially in terms of increasing the interest of the military service, the development of the social package, so I am at the disposal of the prime minister, who will be nominated by the president, commented to journalists in the National Assembly the acting minister of defense Atanas Zapryanov on whether he is ready to remain in office if he receives an offer from the caretaker prime minister, who will be nominated by President Rumen Radev.
