We have been struck, especially the last 15 years, by a pandemic called power-holism. This was stated by the psychologist Dr. Plamen Dimitrov in the show "The Day ON AIR".
"It is this greedy, continuous drive to occupy high status and positions without knowing what to do with it, and an overwhelming number of politicians accept this status position and this mandate they receive from the electorate as their life mission. It is not by chance that they cling like that. Most of them seem to be in an existential personal crisis," commented Dr. Dimitrov to Bulgaria ON AIR.
According to him, the leaders have become attached to their positions and perceive the loss of status as a sentence.
"However, what happens is that these processes speak of the organizational state of the political parties, which cannot make these internal changes that renew the actors on the ground. It's like having the same players play for 40 years in sports competitions, and the coaches and the public are happy with that. There's no way," said the interlocutor.
He emphasized that the caretaker government should be only an interim solution.
"The word "official" hides some institution, almost, which realistically has only one task - to speed up and organize things well for fair and results-leading elections", the guest was emphatic.
Dr. Dimitrov is of the opinion that the vulgarization of politics leads to alienation and disgust among voters.
