I think it was exactly three years ago, on my third day as Minister of Economy, I announced that eight companies had taken BGN 1 billion. The following month was a big fight to change the head and supervisory board of BBR and we succeeded. We enlightened, changed the leadership and all the data went to the prosecutor's office. This was stated by Kiril Petkov, co-chairman of “We continue the change”, on the air of Nova TV.
„150 ml. BGN were given to Rumen Gaitanski-Valka's lawyer, who bought Gaitanski's company. The big question for KPCONPI is why they are investigating Gaitanski's 150 million, for which we congratulate them, although three years later, but they are not investigating 150 million given to “Bulgartabak”, and the loan is not serviced”, he stressed.< /p>
„At the moment, Anton Slavchev, after having been in this position for two years, and longer in the Board of the KPCONPI, suddenly wakes up – good job investigating one case but why not the other? He chooses which case to start with. From our point of view, he became Peevski's club from Delyan Peevski's umbrella. It is the same with Kalin Stoyanov. My economic intuition tells me that if the collateral is more than 150 million, it is unlikely that “Bulgartabak” he would have given them instead of paying off the loan”, Petkov also said.
In his words, there is a selective use of KPCONPI: “We will never see this money. The anti-corruption commission should investigate the two cases thoroughly, but this cannot be done under the leadership of a person who slept for two years and woke up to half the story. How many solved cases are there from the KPCONPI, how many convicted of corruption do we have? Corruption is the biggest scourge for Bulgaria.”
According to him, if GERB moves this case to the anti-corruption commission today, we will be a step ahead in ensuring that there is normal justice in Bulgaria.
„We understand that the country needs a government, but the only one we would participate in is a government in which we will keep the trust of our voters. We have learned this lesson. The fight turned out to be longer than expected," he commented on the upcoming early elections.
„ The prosecutor's office is a closed system, it has been self-producing for 30 years and we have no justice and fairness. Unfortunately, the Constitution is the way to change that. And we, after 30 years, tried to do it. We saw that they had a goalkeeper – KS who returned the ball. During these 8 months, we were constantly fighting over the idea of changing the Constitution, but also in the regulators. I was in the first row and had a fight with Peevski. "We constantly fought," Petkov added.
„It is absurd that a minister organizes protests for self-defense. Kalin Stoyanov speaks almost every day with Delyan Peevski. This is not an attack on him, this is for him to understand. We will attack any minister who has such a dependence on one player,”, the PP co-chairman is categorical.
He presented his idea of managing the country: “If we use the example of Italy – you get a public figure with great public confidence, non-partisan. We say that we do not trust each other between the parties. Voters also do not trust each other. If such a public figure is elected, he should be equally distant, he should be supported by the parties. We are thinking about how Bulgaria can move forward without our voters feeling betrayed. The assembly was our premier with their support. Here we say that we do not want posts and ministers, we do not trust each other between the parties. Before we trust such a person, we must check his past, that he is from Bulgaria and that he is a person who can be trusted.”
