The Plovdiv police announced details of last night's serious accident in Asenovgrad , in which an ambulance and a car crashed, after which both vehicles overturned on the road, BNR reports.
All participants in the collision were injured - four people. This happened around 9 p.m. on Friday at an intersection where a "Citroen" car hit the ambulance.
According to the preliminary data, the medical car was traveling for emergencies and went through a red traffic light at high speed, with flashing lights and sirens on, hitting a car that was running a green light.
The three members of the medical team were examined and released for home treatment - a doctor, a driver and a medical brother, as well as the 56-year-old woman who was driving the "Citroen".
However, the check showed that the driver of the car had been drinking – the dragger reported 0.8 per milliliter of alcohol, after which a blood sample was taken from the woman. The incident has been dealt with administratively.
