Traffic accident signal on the "Hemus" highway from Varna towards Shumen, one kilometer before the "OMV" gas station; was accepted minutes after 5:00 p.m., the press center of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Shumen reported, BTA reported.
According to initial data, two cars and a bus collided, and the bus caught fire. There is information about casualties. An immediate organization was established, traffic was diverted on the I-2 road from Novi Pazar to Shumen, after which motorists could again move on the highway after a staged connection, the police added.
Police, fire and emergency teams have been sent to the scene of the accident, the OD of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Shumen also announced. According to initial information, a bus overtook a car pulling a platform with another car and crashed into them. The bus overturned off the road and caught fire. The driver was taken to the hospital with a visible head wound, the police said.

As BTA reported, a total of 699 violations of the speed regimes were detected during the specialized police operation for speed control in the territory of the Shumen region.
