An 11-year-old girl is in danger for her life after yesterday's accident on the road Razgrad - Shumen to the junction for the village of Veselin, the spokesperson of the Regional directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Razgrad Iliyana Georgieva, broadcast by BTA.
The signal about the road accident was received shortly after 2:00 p.m. yesterday. A "Volvo" truck, driven by a 54-year-old man from Shumen, was moving from the village of Veselin to Shumen. When entering the main road, a "Mercedes" car, driven by a 43-year-old man from Bucharest, took the right of way from Varna in the direction of Ruse. The car hit the front left side of the truck.
The Romanian citizens riding in the car were injured in the collision. The driver was admitted to the Surgical Department of the Razgrad hospital with a fracture of his right leg. The front seat passenger, a 28-year-old woman, was admitted to the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care with a fractured right hip and a temporary threat to life. Two of the children riding in the back seat, aged 9 and 7, were left under observation in the hospital's Surgical Department.
The worst victim was the 11-year-old girl. It is placed in the Anesthesiology Department with a life-threatening condition, Georgieva pointed out.
The samples of the drivers for the use of alcohol and drugs were negative. Pre-trial proceedings are being conducted in the case, added the spokesperson of the Directorate of Internal Affairs of Razgrad.
