MFA: Bulgarians should not travel to Japan

Because of the tropical storm “Shanshan” The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) recommends that Bulgarians residing in Japan or planning a trip to the country refrain from traveling in the country for the next four days, follow the recommendations of the local authorities and regularly monitor the website of the Japan Meteorological Agency. This was reported by the Situation Center at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Typhoon “Shanshan“ caused the death of six people in Japan, AFP reported, citing government spokesman Yoshimasa Hayashi. He specified that the deaths of three people who died in a mudslide have been confirmed so far. Authorities are investigating whether a fourth death is directly related to the typhoon, and two more people are missing and presumed dead.

Earlier, Japan's disaster management agency reported, cited by Reuters, at least three dead and 78 injured.
