The CEC has appointed the composition of regional election commissions

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has appointed the compositions of 22 regional election commissions (RIC) for the elections on 27 October at its meeting today.

These are RIC Ruse, Pazardzhik, Lovech, Yambol, Shumen, Haskovo, Silistra, Targovishte, Stara Zagora, Vratsa, Plovdiv and Plovdiv - region, Pleven, Pernik, Montana, Kyustendil, Dobrich, Gabrovo, Vidin, Varna, Burgas, Blagoevgrad.

All district election commissions will start working from tomorrow - September 7.

According to the Electoral Code, public consultations with the parties and coalitions represented in the parliament are held under the regional governor. During the consultations, the parties and coalitions present a written proposal for the composition of the regional election commission.

In cases where no agreement has been reached and the regional governor has not made a proposal in time, the Central Election Commission appoints the regional election commission based on the proposals made by the parties and coalitions.
