"Don't we have more than 70-80 deputies – there will be no government". This was announced by the leader of GERB at a meeting in Sofia.

He did not fail to call for the mobilization of the party structures.

In a serious race between the candidates of "We continue the change" and GERB, the European Commission chose our – the more prepared candidate (note ed. Ekaterina Zaharieva). The portfolio of Bulgaria most clearly outlines our program as a party and its program as the leading candidate of the European People's Party (EPP). Not by chance, only the President of the EC came to GERB: Ms. Ursula von der Leyen, and the President of the EPP – Manfred Weber. Only with me! At no other party! It is no accident that GERB broadcast the most MEPs, boasted the leader of GERB during a meeting with sympathizers in Sofia.

He reproached himself and his fellow party members for their excessive modesty. "For years we just worked. I remember the slogans: “Work, work, work“, "There is a will" – anything to do. We forget to brag and show people what we have done," Borisov laments.

"People, lost in their everyday life, forget, they have their own problems, we don't blame them. I blame us for not promoting and reminding him," the GERB leader self-criticized.

After the lyrical deviation, he continued along the main line of his thought - the superiority of GERB in European institutions compared to other political parties. "In this regard, there is simply no one to compete with us! Our MEPs became vice-chairmen, members of the leading committees: on justice, of the LIBE committee – is this how a country, issued by the largest party, is given such portfolios? 20 speakers have colleagues, but because they are the same, the same every day in 4-5 places and this is remembered by the audience. How do people put themselves in the most leading European positions, if people doubt us", Boyko Borisov asked rhetorically.

"Bulgaria is known for its innovative solutions and its computer specialists, for its powerful arms industry. The portfolio that Bulgaria is taking on in the European Commission is exactly what we need", he also commented.

According to the Recovery and Sustainability Plan (RPU) of their political opponents, "the oligarchs quarreled with them”, that is why things did not go well, the GERB leader explained.

„Sofia wouldn't have a metro if it weren't for us,” he also said, criticizing Asen Vassilev for cutting the money for the Sofia metro according to PVU.
