Today, an External Commission is coming up and the topic of RSM will be discussed. I have always said that the experience I have in the Western Balkans on enlargement, the Berlin process, I know how our partners work - both in Europe and in America, where our geostrategic partners are. We are asked to be patient, all institutions have reacted. We must not appear aggressive. The tactic of our colleagues from North Macedonia is to blame us. We have a Good Neighbor Agreement written into the Expansion Plan, and no one can budge from it. This is what GERB leader Boyko Borisov said on the sidelines of the parliament about the decision to separate Albania and the Republic of North Macedonia on their way to EU membership, novini.bg reports.
"We didn't break the good tone with anything. We said resignation, which is normal. I want to assure the Bulgarian people that everything we have done in the European People's Party, in the European Council, in the European Commission - we have been very well heard. This is how European institutes work. They do not threaten, they do not offend."
"The result is that Albania is moving forward - it has accepted the Bulgarian minority, and our colleagues in North Macedonia have to bear what they have created," he commented.
Let the Bulgarian statesmen stick to the good tone regardless of the provocations, urged the leader of GERB.
"In order to get 1-2 percent in the elections, the parties inside the hall comment on topics that have no importance. Both points are very important in energy today. Our colleagues from PP-DB say that we can lose some money. I signed in front of the Bulgarian miners, and in this plan there will be no layoffs, no mines will be closed, no plants will be closed. "Especially during the war in Ukraine, the electricity deficit can become huge, and these plants will be important even for Europe," explained the leader of GERB.
"If we know who we will propose, who will be first, who will be second, why do we go to elections? Shall we spend some BGN 100 million? What we will propose depends on the election results."
