The political crisis will not be resolved. Sociologist Evelina Slavkova expressed this opinion in the studio of the morning block of Nova TV.
Seven safe formations in the next National Assembly. Two parties have a chance to cross the barrier. 2 million Bulgarians declare that they will exercise their right to vote. This is according to the data from a survey by “Trend” by order of “24 hours", dedicated to the attitudes of Bulgarians at the start of the election campaign. The research was carried out in the period between September 17 and 24, 2024 through a direct semi-standardized face-to-face interview. with a tablet among 1,003 people aged 18+.
The sociologist from “Trend“ Evelina Slavkova commented in the studio of “Hello, Bulgaria” that it is interesting to analyze the data at the beginning of the election campaign, because they will most likely undergo changes.
The expected voter turnout, according to survey data, is between 2 million and 2 million and 200 thousand people who would exercise their right to vote. “The most important thing is that 38% of Bulgarians indicate that they will go to vote, which shows a very low voter turnout, that is about 2 million and 200 thousand people – less than last year”, Slavkova said.
GERB-SDS retain their leadership position with 24.8% of all voters. The battle for second place remains unclear. “Revival“ marks a slight increase compared to the last parliamentary elections in June and ranks second with 15.6% of voters. Closely behind them is “We continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria” with 15.1% of voters. The coalition around Ahmed Dogan “Alliance for Rights and Freedoms” enjoys the support of 8.5% of voters. With equal positions are “BSP-United Left” (6.9%) and “There is such a people” (6.9%). The formation around Delyan Peevski “Movement for Rights and Freedoms– A New Beginning“ enjoys the support of 5.8% of those who said they will vote in the upcoming elections.
“Revival“ have a chance in these elections to be the second political force, and this is due to the very poor condition in which they are “Continuing the Change-Democratic Bulgaria” at this moment“, the sociologist stressed.
