Bulgaria opens an honorary consulate in Romania with headquarters in the city of Cluj Napoca with powers in a consular district which includes the territory of the regions of Cluj, Satu Mare, Baia Mare, Salaj, Bistrica, Maramures, Alba Iulia and Targul Mures.
The functions of Honorary Consul will be performed by Mrs. Stefania Bercu Martak. She is a lawyer and long-time co-owner of one of the largest Romanian construction companies, SDC Imobiliare Group - Romania.
The opening of an honorary consulate of Bulgaria in Cluj-Napoca will reveal new opportunities for identifying and promoting cooperation at the regional level in order to contribute to the strengthening of bilateral trade-economic, cultural and educational ties between Bulgaria and Romania.
