Even children as young as 10 have already tried drugs, data from a drug prevention campaign show. The program has been operating in Ruse for two years and is called "Together let's save the children and Ruse from drugs". In addition to institutions, students are also actively involved in it, reports BNT.

Taking soft drugs is now a fashion, say students from Ruse schools. And that is why this problem needs to be talked about, because it very often remains hidden until it is fatally late.

"The most accessible is certainly marijuana, one can find it everywhere. I know people who used drugs from early childhood, even elementary school it seems nowadays. You just know which people are using and which people are selling. Everyone knows at least one such person," said Mark Ivanov, a student.

"Unfortunately, many people our age allow them to go to discos, to clubs where there is ecstasy in the form of candy," added Alexandra Mateva, a student.

A boom in the distribution of synthetic drugs, according to an analysis by the "Customs" Agency.

"Things are getting more diverse – vapes, drinks, powders. Things that anyone can buy from anywhere without knowing what's in it," commented Cesislav Migoev, Head of Sector at the "Customs" Agency.

"Children arrived in the emergency department who were in a helpless state, using so-called designer drugs. Some of these drugs work so quickly and very often trigger other diseases that the person did not even suspect. Unfortunately, there are also those who have a fatal end", Alise Murtezova also said, "Together let's save the children and Ruse from drugs".

The students themselves say that in the fight against this "fatal fashion" in addition to the schools, the parents should also be involved.

And from the initiative "Together to save children and Ruse from drugs" announced a competition for events proposed by the teenagers themselves, in which adults and children together look for a solution to the problem.
