Leftist politics is not about giving more, but to create equal opportunities, to have solidarity and justice. This is what he said in the show “120 minutes” Christian Vigenin, vice-chairman of the "BSP - United Left" and MEP.
„In my opinion, there are several key problems for our country. One of them is the dysfunctional judicial system. It's not just dysfunctional, it's dysfunctional because it's not independent enough. Informal influences on it become a serious obstacle for both people and business. And we want justice for the people," he explained.
Kristian Vigenin pointed out that parallel attention should also be paid to the Bulgarian economy, because “a well-functioning economy is the core of everything we could do for our country”.
„Strong social and demographic policy is our next emphasis. If we don't do something for the young people of Bulgaria, if we don't do anything to have Bulgarians, then everything else becomes meaningless, he added.
The Deputy Chairman of the “BSP - United Left“ also talks about good education and access to adequate health care.
„All this, if it is implemented as we envisioned it in our program, will give each other the result and create a different environment in Bulgaria. In this sense, the pursuit of genders is a secondary issue. The primary issue is to create a normal environment for creating a sustainable family and raising children. Everything else is populism," he added.
Kristian Vigenin commented that there is a diversity of views and opinions in the BSP. The only thing that cannot be revised is the party's opinion on the war in Ukraine, he pointed out, however, and recalled that the BSP is for supporting Ukraine as long as it is not military.
On internal party issues, he indicated that he can work with any BSP chairman and would be part of the party as long as he can be useful.
