There is a realistic option for a coalition between 3 parties in the 51st parliament.
This opinion was expressed to BNR by Parvan Simeonov, director of "Gallup International Balkan".
"Part of the PP-DB is unlikely to be very happy about a new collaboration with GERB and maybe they will need reinforcement from somewhere else. Of course, the ITNs, which are the main potential partners in such a cabinet, are unlikely to be very happy either. It has to be a tough trade-off. As for the BSP – I know, on the one hand, they would be happy to suddenly find themselves in power, on the other hand, if I were them, I would play a little longer game – I wouldn't be looking for a share of power right away, I'd be looking for a bit more of an oppositional role, which might turn out to be a nice role for an unpopular compromise cabinet, as the next one might turn out to be, if there is one. "They will probably try to bypass the traffic police," he commented.
According to him, the Alliance for Rights and Freedoms will have to show "some decency" and if it is to participate in any form in governance, it must be a form of support. And DPS-New Beginning, in his words, will have to be careful "how much is indicated". And yet:
"The Old Beginning after the appearance of the New Beginning seems an idea more acceptable for some kind of collaboration.
The sociologist's conclusion is that both factions have exploited their niche.
Besides mathematically difficult, it will also be politically very difficult, summarized Parvan Simeonov. And he reminded again that the Bulgarian society is waiting for the formation of a government.
"The fact that we even had a slightly higher turnout is evidence that people have sufficiently realized that this election cannot be counted as just another election and that this streak must come to an end.

He pointed out that those who voted today did so a little more vigorously than expected. It seems that we will rather go to around 2.5 million votes, and the expectations were for 2 million, the sociologist specified.
"There is at least one good news from tonight. Calculations and guessing about whether there will be a government and what it might be begin.
According to him, the bought, controlled and unnatural vote probably caused some kind of reaction among the people.
Simeonov did not rule out changes in the positions of the parties and called to wait for the parallel counting and the official result.
"It is as if in this campaign we know for the first time that the data will show one thing, and most likely the results will show another, and mainly in the DPS niche. If I am not refuted, this clearly means that technological processes, pragmatic processes, even ugly processes in Bulgarian politics are gaining speed. And after 4 years of political crisis in Bulgaria, we have the following thing – that political elite that had to be pushed out in 2020 – that was the rallying call, not just not pushed but continues to matter or blocking quota, new players are getting more and more exotic and on top of that we are about to touch that nerve we should never touch and he is the group of Bulgarian Turks. These things, after 4 years of political crisis, make me think that it is time to end the political crisis", said the director of "Gallup".
