With 100 percent processed results in RIC-Haskovo. The winner of the elections in the region is the GERB-SDS coalition. They received 33.81 percent of the votes in the district. The formation has nearly 30,000 actual votes, or over 6,000 more than the previous extraordinary vote, BNT reported.
In second position with 19.33% is "DPS - New Beginning", which received nearly 17,000 votes. For the other faction in the DPS - "Alliance for Rights and Freedoms" less than 7 percent of voters cast their vote, or just over 6,000 votes. However, the alliance around Ahmed Dogan remains in fifth place in terms of results, with "Revival" ahead of him. and PP-DB.
The Regional Electoral Commission stated that due to the unprecedented decision, which they took first in the country - to stop mass unmotivated changes in the composition of the sectional commissions, there was no chaos with the elections. There were no massively wrong protocols, because untrained personnel were not allowed in the SIC, declared the member of RIC-Haskovo Tonka Apostolova.
According to the chairman of the Regional Electoral Commission, the main applications for changes of section members, which were a record number, as well as mass complaints and signals for agitation and vote control, came from the two factions in the DPS.
"We did not join the party combinations, but protected the public interest," commented Dobromir Yakimov and gave a high assessment of the work of the RIC and the SEC this time. “We already have more experience - it is the seventh election after all, but we did not expect that we would finish the whole process at 5 in the morning. "If there wasn't this chaos with the machines in 30 sections yesterday, we would have been ready earlier," Yakimov stressed.
