The District Court in Pleven handed down an effective sentence of six months' imprisonment under an initial general regime to a 23-year-old youth to buy votes. The defendant admitted his guilt before the court.
According to data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), since the beginning of October, 14 people have been detained for violations of electoral legislation. In the course of the investigations, seven pre-trial proceedings were instituted.
