We will respect the laws and the Constitution of the country and we will be present with President Radev at the swearing in of the new national representatives on Monday. Vice President Iliyana Yotova assured this in the morning block of BNT, quoted by novini.bg.
In response to Borisov's criticism from yesterday, why will they go to the swearing-in ceremony, since this parliament is illegitimate according to Yotova herself a few days ago, the vice president said that he would not comment on the GERB leader.
Regarding doubts about the fairness of the elections, Yotova noted that the fault lies not only with the Ministry of the Interior and the CEC.
It is insulting that for several days there is a heavy discussion about whether the vote by the machines is legitimate, all this instills a great distrust among the Bulgarian citizens and then we wonder why the voter turnout is so low. By all accounts, it seems that legislative changes and new regulations are needed, but we also need to change our own mentality and respect each other more, the vice president believes.
About the curtailed powers of the head of state in the basic law, Iliana Yotova said that the new texts are “non-working”.
„Even some time ago, Borisov himself admitted that they had done something stupid with the changes to the Constitution. If President Radev had appointed the official offices, it would have been completely different”, Yotova is convinced.
