„The play „Weapons and Man” don't offend people. It shows the possibility that we can look at art as through a mirror – we see ourselves in a different way, with a sense of humor. All the time I was around the National Theater and I saw people shouting “Come out to see what will happen to you”. Is this Bulgaria today? Because of a play written 130 years ago”, commented the philosopher and publicist Tony Nikolov in the program “Offensive with Lyubo Ognyanov” on NovaNews.
“John Malkovich said he invited representatives of the Serbian National Theater and imagined headlines in the media in Belgrade like “Shaw's anti-Serbian play was staged”, he added.
According to Nikolov, moral impurity, especially in politics, is a much bigger problem than physical impurity. “The police told me that they had no instructions to intervene against the storming in front of the National Theater. "I think there should be a lot of resignations among the law enforcement agencies," he added.
„I saw people who hated their countrymen, who wanted to beat them. Such people I saw gathered. They are inspired with a sense of revenge, revenge. I have never seen such a thing before,”, added Nikolov.
