I.f. chief prosecutor Borislav Sarafov submitted to the National Assembly a request to remove the immunity of the deputy from the Alliance for Rights and Freedoms Ceyhan Ibryamov. The goal - continuation of the criminal proceedings against him. The proposal is from the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office.
The People's Representative is brought to criminal responsibility for two crimes:
1. In the month of October 2019, in the city of Sofia, he requested and accepted a gift, which he did not follow - a monetary sum of BGN 20,000, in order to exert influence in making a decision by an official from the Ministry of Health in connection with his service - to issue a permit for placing on the market a group of biocides (crime under Article 304b, paragraph 1, item 1 of the Criminal Code).
2. On 26.09.2024, in the city of Sofia, in order to procure for himself a real estate benefit (a sum of money in the amount of BGN 400,000), he sued M.T. delusion that if he gives him the sum of BGN 400,000, he will exert influence on the decision-making by officials from the Ministry of Defense in connection with their public procurement service. On 02.10.2024 in the city of Sofia, General Totleben Blvd., in the parking lot of a store, he maintained this delusion at M.T. and made an attempt to cause him property damage in large amounts (100,000 BGN), and the attempt remained unfinished for reasons beyond Ibryamov's control – immediately after taking from M.T. the amount of BGN 100,000 was detained by employees of the State Police - Ministry of Internal Affairs (crime under Art. 210, Para. 1, Item 5, Art. 209, Para. 1, Art. 18, Para. 2, Art. . para. 1 of the Criminal Code).
The prosecutor's office specifies that the materials provided to the National Assembly include the evidence collected so far, including physical evidence collected with special intelligence means.
The criminal proceedings against Ibryamov were suspended on November 11 because of his immunity as a deputy in the new parliament. According to the Constitution, the resumption of the proceedings and the continuation of the investigation is possible only with the permission of the National Assembly or with the written consent of the relevant national representative.
