The Supreme Administrative Court (SAC) put an end to the dispute over the illegal construction of a villa in the area " Atoluka" near the village of Ravnogor, owned by Zlatka Dobreva - mother of People's Representative Delyan Dobrev. This became clear from a publication of the "Anticorruption Fund" Foundation. in the Facebook social network.
Last week's court decision puts an end to the four-year saga, overturning the earlier decision of Judge Eva Pelova of the Administrative Court - Pazardzhik. The higher instance condemned Zlatka Dobreva and the Municipality of Bratsigovo to pay the costs of the case.
Lora Georgieva from the legal team of the "Anti-Corruption Fund" Foundation comments: "We have repeatedly drawn the attention of the mayor of Bratsigovo, Mrs. Kazakova, to the need to comply with the Territorial Planning Law, so as to guarantee equal rights for all citizens."
According to the experts, the case began in November 2019, when Zlatka Dobreva acquired a wooden pavilion with an area of 30 square meters. After its demolition, intensive construction of a new building will begin in September 2023.
Boiko Stankushev, director of the foundation, stated: "While at an earlier stage the Municipality of Bratsigovo justified the lack of action on its part with the untenable argument that the court proceedings are ongoing, now we already have a final and unequivocal court decision."
