Svilensky: For the first time in 5-6 months, I saw a smile on Zafirov's face when he shook hands with Borisov - 1

„I was very surprised when I saw 10 or 12 people from my former party BSP at a meeting with Borisov. And for the first time in 5-6 months, I saw a smile on Zafirov's face when he shook hands with Borisov. Apparently, what we have said, that Zafirov, Gutsanov and Vigenin will push the BSP into submission to Borisov and Peevski – we already see it“.
This is what he said in the show "Delnitsi" of Eurocom Georgi Svilenski, emphasizing: “I have held 15 elections – both parliamentary and local government, every single socialist has always resented the “Borisov“ model. And now I ask how these BSP representatives sit down and talk to Borisov? Two parliaments ago, we went to talks with Borisov – but, we went to tell him that we won't support him because they want you to send weapons to Ukraine, they want gender ideology to enter schools, they don't want to change the flat tax. In the BSP negotiations now you heard yes talk about war, peace, weapons for Ukraine, sanctions against Russia? Because these are topics on which the BSP has been consistent. These topics are no longer available. Something to say about the flat tax, about progressive income taxation – this is leftist politics. There is no such thing”, pointed out Svilenski.
In his words, an opposition is identified with several key votes – election of the Prime Minister, of ministers, voting on the budget. “This BSP leadership wants to support the budget. Why, with what arguments? Yes, the state should have a budget, but not Glavchev's or Borisov's budget”, commented Svilenski and recalled:
“I proposed 53 times in the hall that the minimum wage be 50% of the average, today I hear that the ministry proposes to drop it. BSP is likely to include it in its budget. How will they explain to their voters why the minimum wage from January 1 will not be 50% of the average?“, pointed out the former MP from BSP and added:
“That is why there must be a strong left – to have a strong social policy. But, they are ready to sell their mother and father just to be the 3rd, 4th in power.

About the result of the left unification: „They increased by one representative, thanks to the fact that “Majesty” they did not enter. Probably, after the appeal in the SC, this mistake will be corrected. All criticism of Kornelia Ninova and the leadership was that they lost 800,000 votes. I said it the night after the election, now I will confirm it – not 800,000, not 8 thousand, 8 votes did not return to the BSP as they claimed. Because both your analysts and ours, they all say that the United Left received fewer votes than on June 9. Where is the United Left's contribution to the results? What did this union fight for – for one more MP? I expected 1 million votes, 120-130 MPs to get to say – here, without Kornelia Ninova, the United Left achieves victories. But there is no such thing”, responded Georgi Svilenski.
He regretted this result, because left-wing people should be represented in the Bulgarian parliament, but added: “It is clear that this association, which presents itself as left-wing – crashed“.
„Our exclusion – of Kornelia Ninova, Ivan Chenchev, Krum Donchev, mine had a demotivating effect. We keep in touch with a part of our sympathizers – they don't accept this way of acting, in a situation where unification is being propagated, to achieve unification through persecution," commented Svilenski and when asked about a new project, he said: "There is such an expectation. We think about it, we have ideas when we're ready – we will announce them“.
“What happened on Monday and Wednesday is a crime against the Bulgarian people. I expected that until the convocation of the parliament, 2 weeks time, there would be talks about the election of the president and the formation of some kind of majority. But what did we see? No conversations and two days of the same thing – results, candidates, their performance was even identical. What do they expect – to do the same stupid thing several times and get a different result?“, commented the former MP from the BSP.

„It should be clear to the other political parties that a cordon, non-cordon, the isolation of Borisov and Peevski must happen in order for Bulgaria to move forward. And now, when some say isolation only for Peevski, and others – only on Borisov, Bulgaria will not move forward. They are like a diving board – if you isolate one, everything will spill over to the other," comments Svilenski.
„Borisov could not do anything for 6 parliaments. And now there will be no government. But he has a government. The Glavchev cabinet is Peevski's and Borisov's government. All agencies, ministries, directors are their appointments, their personnel bank, they manage them. Now I see, Borisov is wondering how to get the parliament out of the way faster so that he can manage for a few more months without a parliament. They will mislead the Bulgarian citizens that they will talk about policies, and they are just bargaining for positions, concluded Georgi Svilenski.
