Kuncho Stoychev: Nobody wants power! We are going to new elections! - 1

On the surface it seems as if there is a discussion about who should be the speaker of the parliament, but in reality the dispute behind the scenes is completely different. In this composition of the National Assembly, no one wants to govern. We are looking at positioning for the next election. This was stated by Kancho Stoychev, a sociologist, on the air of Nova News.

„The question is how the next election will take place – paper, with machines. The matter of the Attorney General is also important. More interests are emerging – the immeasurable stupidity with the Constitution. Now everyone is thinking who will be the caretaker prime minister. There is also one more technical question – there are still 1-2 vacancies to be filled in the “house book”, he recalled.

The sociologist is adamant that the President of the National Assembly will be elected: “I expect this issue to be resolved before Christmas. Atanas Atanasov will not become head of the parliament – since the fight is about who will put whom in jail, there is no way this is going to happen. The parties are positioning themselves, testing the attitudes of both society and each other. Mathematically, a majority could be formed, but the cost would be very high and such a government would hardly work for long. This triple government of the “assembly” undermines our future. Now, do they have to do the same again? It will not be accepted by society. Politicians should be happy that they have the most patient people, but this cannot go on forever.”

„There is tension in the parties. A split in PP-DB, which is not announced because the second mandate is awaited. There is also tension in the BSP. There is no better medicine for democracy than more democracy. We have to hold elections until the dirty water passes through enough stones and is purified, Stoychev is categorical.

He expects a figure who has not “come into use” to take the post of Speaker of Parliament. “Has an agreement been reached on what the parliament will do when it is up and running, and I don't see any major arguments about the budget – the deputies think only of the official cabinet and the next elections, as well as the issue with the attorney general, will cast a person. It doesn't matter who he is, he won't have much influence. They can go to work, but they don't seem to want to.”

He reminded that the Constitutional Court is also underway. “There are no clear deadlines written on paper, but there are deadlines based on public necessity.”
