The political elite is currently meaningless, this cannot help but lead to a significant change. Whether the Speaker of the National Assembly will be elected today is no longer important. So much negativity has been accumulated that whether it will happen now or in two weeks is already deja vu. And even if he is elected, it would not mean that the deputies will reach the last points with solving people's problems. This is what Anton Kutev, former spokesman of the offices of Galab Donev and Stefan Yanev, said in the program &bdquo ;Your Day” on NOVA NEWS.
According to him, it is absurd to elect the oldest member of parliament as the speaker of the parliament. And he explained that this post cannot be determined on a formal basis.
„A presidential republic practically means nothing, because the meaning of this concept is in the huge variety of possibilities that a constitution can give to the president in question,”, Kutev believes. And he emphasized that “excessively large power in the hands of one person would be extremely dangerous for Bulgaria, considering politicians claiming all the power at the moment”.
Kutev is of the opinion that a presidential republic is not a suitable form of government for our country.
The expert believes that the formation of new political projects can be expected. “And if the president intervenes with one, it will change the political system”, Kutev added.
