Never try to re-ignite unactivated pyrotechnics - 1

In the midst of the winter Christmas and New Year holidays, accompanied by many good emotions and countless excitements, the Regional Directorate "Fire Safety and Population Protection" - Varna reminds of some of the basic rules for preventing fires and incidents:

Remove stored flammable items and papers from the balcony or terrace - they are dangerous for starting fires if fireworks, flares, unextinguished cigarettes fall on them.

When leaving your home, check that all electrical appliances are turned off. During preparations for the Christmas and New Year's tables, hosts should not leave cooking appliances turned on unattended.

Check the working order of the electrical installation and electrical appliances. Cold weather and snowfall require the use of more heating appliances. Books, toys and other flammable materials should not be placed near or on heating appliances!

Place the Christmas tree at a safe distance away from curtains and other flammable materials. Children should not be allowed to light sparklers and candles themselves and play with them around the Christmas tree. Parental control is mandatory. Do not leave children alone at home! Cotton and paper decorations on Christmas trees are flammable.

If you use electrical decorations, check their technical condition and the electrical power supply. Do not leave them switched on without supervision!

Pyrotechnic products (fireworks, pirates, signal rockets, sparklers and other devices) should not be thrown indiscriminately. They are intended for use in open and safe places! Never try to re-light unlit pyrotechnic devices.

When visiting churches, candles should only be lit in designated places (candlesticks).

Managers (managers) of hotels, lodges, restaurants, etc. must ensure the maintenance and service of safety systems, fire hydrants, and manual fire extinguishing equipment. Evacuation routes should be free to pass, and exits should be unlocked.
