"We recall highlights from the past year. The Ambassador got acquainted with the Varna art scene, immersed himself in the local traditions of the village of Staro Zhelezare and felt the magic of the Rose Festival in Kazanlak. Ambassador Merten also had the honor of meeting with Bulgaria’s next generation of leaders during a graduation ceremony and enjoying unforgettable moments in Bansko and Veliko Tarnovo,” the U.S. Embassy reported.
