Today marks 147 years since the liberation of Sofia. The Bulgarian Patriarch and Metropolitan of Sofia Daniil is expected to serve a prayer service in the Metropolitan Cathedral "Holy Sunday", and before that, to lead the Holy Liturgy for the feast of the Holy 70 Apostles.
On January 4, the Orthodox Church honors the Council of the 70 Apostles.
According to tradition, in addition to the known 12 apostles, Jesus Christ had another 70, whom he also sent to preach and who, after his resurrection, scattered around the world to preach.
And on the occasion of the anniversary of the liberation of Sofia at 12 o'clock there will be a historical reenactment in the Northern Park.
