As of today - January 7, repairs continue on road III-375 Peshtera - Plovdiv in the Plovdiv region, in the nearly 3.4-kilometer section between the villages of Joakim Gruevo and Kadievo, reports the RIA. Traffic on the route will be restricted, and vehicles will be redirected along bypass routes in the Stamboliyski region along the Novo Selo - Stamboliyski and Brestovitsa - Perushtitsa sections. The activities are being carried out under the contract for the ongoing repair and maintenance of the republican roads in the Plovdiv region and are expected to be completed by the beginning of March 2025.
The repair includes removal of the sediment layer, cleaning of the drainage facilities, cold recycling of the existing asphalt pavement and laying new asphalt, filling and profiling of the shoulders, etc. The implementation of the planned works will improve the transport and operational qualities and bearing capacity of the pavement, drainage of the route and traffic safety.
We recall that at the end of November last year, repair works began on a 7-kilometer section of the road in the Plovdiv region. They are being carried out in several stages. The first, including the section from Isperihovo to the intersection with road III-866 Stamboliyski – Kurtovo Konare at the Valev Bridge, has already been completed. The repair work continues on the section from Valev Bridge to the intersection of road III-375 with the municipal road to Stamboliyski before the entrance to the village of Joakim Gruevo, with the route remaining closed until January 15. In this section, travelers can use the municipal and republican road network in the Stamboliyski region as an alternative.
In August of this year, the repair of 15 km of the third-class road Peshtera - Plovdiv in the Pazardzhik region also began. The asphalt works in the Peshtera - Byaga - Isperihovo section have been completed. The installation of road signs and the laying of horizontal markings are pending. Until the road signs are installed in the repaired section, the speed limit is limited to 50 km/h.
