At an average price of 267.22 (excluding VAT) per megawatt-hour, electricity was traded today on the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange (IBNEB) in the "Day Ahead" market segment, according to data after the exchange closed. The deals are based on tomorrow's delivery day - January 13, BTA reports, quoted by BNT.
The energy exchange closed yesterday at an average price of 218.95 leva per megawatt-hour. This means that electricity for Bulgarian businesses will be 22 percent more expensive tomorrow compared to today's price.
On Friday, the price of electricity on the indicated basis was 14.1 percent lower - 234.14 leva.
The average price of peak energy (09:00-20:00) for tomorrow is 295.92 leva. per megawatt-hour, while off-peak energy (01:00-08:00; 21:00-24:00) was traded at an average of 238.52 leva. per megawatt-hour.
