A drunk bus driver in Plovdiv hit three parked cars, the city police announced.
Around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, a report was received about a bus that swerved into the local lane of Plovdiv's "Macedonia" Blvd., and in the area of the intersection with "Petar Stoev" St. hit three parked cars, bTV reports.
The First Regional Police team sent to the scene determined that during the accident that caused material damage, there were no other passengers on the bus, except for the 65-year-old man behind the wheel.
He was tested with a breathalyzer for alcohol use and the result showed a blood alcohol level of about 1.9 per mille.
The driver was detained for 24 hours by a police warrant, and a summary proceeding was initiated against him.
The work to clarify all the facts and circumstances surrounding the case is being continued by an investigating police officer from the regional department.
