Stanislav Balabanov: We will not touch taxes, but all the money given to the kalpak will be stopped - 1

We will not touch taxes, but all the money given to the kalpak will be stopped. We are right-wing oriented. The deficit is 3% on paper, but there is a hole in the budget of 18 billion leva. This was said by the MP from "There is such a people" Stanislav Balabanov in the studio of "Hello, Bulgaria".
"There were two paths - a regular government, which 80% of the citizens wanted, or new elections, where Peevski would be comfortably placed. Therefore - better a new cabinet now than a new beginning of the next early vote", he added.
"We made a huge compromise so that the country can move in some direction. The voters' wish is to have a regular cabinet with the first political force. It is impossible to govern with Peevski, because the complex coalition is currently supported by the votes of "Democracy, Rights and Freedoms" - his biggest enemy. If this party feels that he has any influence in the majority, it will withdraw. It is precisely she who is the guarantor of transparency in this regard", explained Balabanov. He added that the energy experts of the cabinet will do everything possible to regulate electricity prices, and coal-fired power plants will not be touched.

He also commented on the words of the leader of the ITN Slavi Trifonov that he would never govern with GERB, spoken on his television show in 2020. "Then the square was full because Peevski entered the presidential institution unregulated with his Prosecutor General Geshev. After that, the ITN became the first political force - and there was a historic opportunity for Trifonov's words to become a fact - a regular government with the isolation of the status quo parties. At that time, Hristo Ivanov wanted to approve every single minister. Five elections passed, in which the public had the opportunity to rearrange the political map. GERB was the first political force in all of them. During that time, the state fell into financial collapse. Peevski is using these years to become uncontrollable", Balabanov explained.
According to him, if the initiative committees manage to meet the requirements, there is no obstacle to holding a referendum on introducing the euro. Balabanov specified that when Bulgaria is 100% ready, it should enter the eurozone. "There is no way we can enter now or next month, we are not ready", Balabanov believes.
