The Joint Governance Council of the Government is expected to begin work today, BNT reported.
It includes representatives of the leaderships of the four formations that supported the government of Rosen Zhelyazkov - three each from GERB-SDF, "BSP - United Left" and "There is Such a People" and two from "Democracy, Rights and Freedoms - DPS".
The decisions in it will be made by consensus. It is expected that decisions on the appointments of deputy ministers and regional governors will be made at the first meeting today. By today, the parties had to submit their candidates, with the final word being with the prime minister, GERB leader Boyko Borisov explained earlier.
According to the deputy chair of the GERB-SDF parliamentary group, Raya Nazaryan, there will be no quota principle for the distribution of deputy ministers and regional governors, and the expertise of each candidate will be the leading factor.
