The ruling parties have distributed the chairman and deputy chairperson seats, the opposition parties are faced with a fait accompli. This was told to journalists in parliament by the co-chairman of the PP-DB PG Nikolay Denkov, who commented on the constitution of the regular parliamentary committees, quoted by BTA.
According to Denkov, the opposition parties can only distribute “what is left of the deputy chairpersons' seats“. “The idea is obvious - full control over the government and its activities should be exercised by the parties that are in government“, he pointed out.
„We had a Chairman's Council this morning, at which it was seen that the control by the National Assembly over the government will be exercised by the parties that make up the government“, he commented.
Asked about the financial situation of the state, Nikolay Denkov replied: „Let's see the official data with which 2024 will end. I guarantee that it will end within the fiscal framework that was set“.
„We see some expenditures set by a decision of the National Assembly, against which there was an opinion from the Ministry of Finance of Asen Vassilev. If there are excess expenditures somewhere, those who set them should be angry. This is not „We Continue the Change“ and it is not the Ministry of Finance of Asen Vassilev“, Denkov commented.
He described the allegations of an 18 billion leva hole in the country's budget as "a smokescreen to hide other problems."
