Ceyhan Ibryamov was taken into custody absolutely illegally during a campaign. This was commented to journalists in parliament by the leader of "Vazrazhdane" Kostadin Kostadinov, who stated that 121 votes are needed to lift the MP's immunity. Peevski's small coalition - "DPS-New Beginning", MECH and "Democratic Bulgaria" (DB) voted for lifting the immunity, said Kostadinov.
He described the case with Ceyhan Ibryamov as a set-up and pointed out that in this particular case the prosecutor's office acted as Peevski's "bat". In this situation, we are defending order and legality, Kostadinov added, emphasizing that the prosecutor's office serves as a body for disguising and operates as Peevski's private property.
Kostadinov also commented that they supported the removal of Mario Rangelov's immunity in connection with vote buying. According to him, the one who buys votes the most is Peevski. If we had seen the prosecutor's office request Peevski's immunity, we would have supported it, Kostadinov commented.
