The Road Infrastructure Agency (API) warns that in February 2025, the validity of 409,380 annual vignettes will expire.
Every car owner can check the validity of their vignette on the official website www.bgtoll.bg via the "Check vignette" button. For this purpose, it is only necessary to enter the vehicle registration number and the country in which it is registered.
The RIA explains that the status of the vignette can be "active", "expired" or "unused". The latter status applies to cases in which a vignette with a delayed start was purchased up to 30 days from the initial validity date.
The travel agency emphasizes the need to carefully check the entered information before the final payment. The responsibility for correctly filling in the data lies entirely with the owner or user of the vehicle.
When entering the registration number, the symbols can be written in both Cyrillic and Latin characters, but they must correspond exactly to the number. Special attention should be paid to the difference between the number "0" (zero) and the letter "O", as they are not interchangeable. Dashes, dots and spaces are not entered.
