A draft for the establishment of an Temporary Commission to establish facts and circumstances related to the activities of George Soros and Alexander Soros and their foundations, which finance Bulgarian individuals and legal entities and non-governmental organizations, as well as establishing their connections with political parties, magistrates, educational institutions, media, business structures and state authorities, will be submitted today by the MPs from the parliamentary group of the MRF-New Beginning to parliament. The proposal bears the signatures of the chairman of the parliamentary group of the MRF-New Beginning, Delyan Peevski, and all members of parliament from the parliamentary group, the party announced.
In the motivations, the submitters ask the members of parliament to investigate the network of individuals and structures operating since 1990, built around Soros' main foundation, the Open Society Institute, the press release also states.
According to the submitters, over the past decades these individuals, in addition to the non-governmental sector, have gradually been integrated into the administration, educational institutions, political parties, the judiciary, the media and business, which has created conditions for hidden or overt influence on the main socio-political and economic processes in the country, MRF-New Beginning states.
The motivations state that the network of individuals and structures poses a threat to the legal order in the country, since these actions, given that they are financed and coordinated by George Soros and Alexander Soros and their foundations are entirely in private interest. In this way, the basic principles of democracy are compromised and the foundations of the state are destroyed, because the control of the power structures, the political and social system in the country, in the service of one person, leads to nothing other than a dictatorship in practice, the party's position states.
The parliamentary group of the MRF-New Beginning insists that after the completion of the work of the parliamentary commission, adequate measures be taken to eliminate this influence and eliminate the possibilities for such interference, directed against the national interests of Bulgaria and the security of the people, the press release says.
