Sociologists Elena Darieva from “Nasoka“ and Dimitar Ganev from “Trend“ commented on the NovaNews broadcast of the “Zhelyazkov“ cabinet and Budget 2025. “The picture currently shows the bill we will pay for the political crisis. For four years, every state budget was prepared or updated by service cabinets or by those that expect elections in a few months. There were constant debates in parliament between the first and second reading, because the parties were waiting for a vote. And so three years, the end result is this“, Ganev stated.
According to him, there are no innocent political forces in the case of the budget plan. On the contrary, according to him, GERB-SDF and “Continuing Change-Democratic Bulgaria“ are also responsible.
“If we ask for a Convergent Report and it does not have a satisfactory ending, we will not be able to declare one again for another two years. Therefore, I assume that the cabinet is waiting to see what the picture is, as well as to try to meet the criteria“, he further explained.
“When talking about state money, it would be good to talk with the facts, as they are. We hear many different stories from all kinds of sources. It is clear that politicians have an interest in presenting things this way, but when we are talking about something so clear, we should have comprehensive information,“ Darieva emphasized.
